Peace Church to serve homeless with food, clothes

Members of Peace Church Pearland Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) will distribute clothes, worship with the homeless and serve a meal from 9:15 a.m. to noon Aug. 7  at the intersection of Mckee and Reynolds in Houston.

Those interested in helping who don't want to drive downtown should meet at the church at 8:45 a.m.

Donations of new adult socks and underwear are needed. Leave them in the church office for Scott.

Past service projects have included blood drives, food drives, working with Christian Helping Hands of Pearland, volunteering at schools, participating in Winterfest, collecting school supplies and clothes for Alvin ISD, and volunteering at Tuscany Village Rehabilitation Center and Colonial Oaks Assisted Living and Church Under the Bridge Homeless Ministry.

Peace Church Pearland Presbyterian Church, which meets in the Country Place shopping center, one block east of McHard Road and Highway 288.
