Pearland Parks to offer kayaking course
Pearland Parks will host a free introductory kayaking course for beginning paddlers from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 11, at the barbecue shelter at Independence Park.
The instruction class, titled Essentials of Kayaking, will be led by an ACA-certified teacher through an interactive teaching experience.
Participants will enjoy free kayak demonstrations, discounted kayak trips and discounts on kayak and accessory purchases through Texas Kayak Guide. Attendees can also enter drawings to win free kayak lessons for family members, according to a press release.
