Dr. Robert Kratschmer honored for 2011 Patients' Choice Award
Dr. Robert Kratschmer of Pearland has been ranked among the top physicians in the nation based on patient reviews at www.patientschoice.org.
Only doctors who have received top scores by their patients and pass other quality measures are awarded the Patients' Choice Award. Of the nation's 720,000 active physicians, only 5 percent were accorded this honor with Kratschmer for 2011, according to a press release.
Every month, millions of patients across the U.S. access websites to share feedback about their experiences with their doctors. Patients' Choice uses the ratings from various sites to make their awards based on accuracy of diagnosis, care received, diagnosis accuracy, time spent with the doctor, bedside manner and follow-up care.
"This is quite an honor for me," Kratschmer said in the press release. "I am very pleased to have been selected and grateful to my patients who went out of their way to rate me and give me positive reviews."
Kratschmer is a native Texan and a board-certified plastic surgeon with an office in Pearland. He graduated from Texas A&M University in aerospace engineering and was an engineer at the NASA Johnson Space Center before moving to the field of medicine. He received his medical degree from Texas Tech and returned to Houston for his general surgery training at St. Joseph Medical Center. He followed that with a fellowship in acute burn reconstruction and then completed his plastic surgery training in 2002.
Kratschmer's clinic is located at 2620 Cullen Blvd. Suite 202, Pearland.
