Runners from Pearland complete First Colony Freedom 5K

Two runners from Pearland completed the First Colony Freedom 5K on Wednesday, July 4, in Sugar Land.

Edward Mickelson, 42, completed the race in 26:58, and Craig Weis, 42, crossed the finish line in 28:04.

A total of 739 runners finished the 5K race, which was held in Lost Creek Park. The proceeds of the race will benefit the Fort Bend CORPS.

Jeremy Green, 38, was the men’s overall winner with a time of 17:19, while Kylee Short of Houston was the women’s winner in 18:03.
