Runners from Pearland area complete Run Wild 5K
Eighteen Pearland-area runners completed the Run Wild 5K on Wednesday, July 4, in Houston.
Morgan Vizi, 17, of Alvin completed the race in 25:40, and Sabrina Garza, 36, crossed the finish line in 29:25.
The thirteen Pearland runners who participated in the race are: Kassie Harris, 26, (20:21); John Roach, 43, (23:47); Blanca Jackson, 50, (24:11); Kendra Orth, 28, (26:19); Ifraan Alam, 29, (27:08); Stephen Todes, 48, (27:16); Karen Montijo, 44, (27:35); Jonathan Stigant, 60, (29:10); Dan Eble, 32, (29:37); Helen Stigant, 60, (30:48); Tonya Johnson, 41, (33:59); Ann Roach, 44, (40:32); and Angela Huffmon, 44, (43:28).
Three Pasadena runners crossed the finish line: Betty Ybarra, 38, (25:59); Alexandra Rivera, 20, (30:23); and Kail Graham, 32, (33:57).
A total of 1,287 runners finished the 5K race, which was held in Uptown Park. The proceeds of the race will benefit Special Olympics Texas.
Sean Wade of Houston was the men’s overall winner with a time of 15:38, while Megan Siebert of Dallas was the women’s winner in 18:10.
