Pearland runner completes 2012 Canton Marathon

Katelyn Schwing, 27, of Pearland completed the 2012 Canton Marathon in 4:39:00.

The event was held on June 17 in Canton, Ohio. A total of 906 runners finished the 26.2-mile race, which started at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and ended on the field at Fawcett Stadium.

The race is a USATF-certified course, and is a Boston qualifier.

Justin Baum, of Magnolia, Ohio, was the men’s overall winner with a time of 2:37:53, while Beth Woodward, of Orrville, Ohio, was the women’s winner in 2:59:08.
