The Fourth of July Steering Committee and the City of Friendswood announced the schedule for the 117th annual July 4 celebration "Sounds of Freedom."

The Grand Parade, featuring more than 100 entries, will begin at 10 a.m. at the corner of FM 518 and Heritage Drive. The parade will conclude at Stevenson Park, 1100 S. Friendswood Drive, where the festivities, including family-friendly activities, rides, games, food, live entertainment and more than 50 booth entries, will continue until approximately 3:30 p.m.

The Evening Program begins at 7:30 p.m. in Centennial Park, 2200 S. Friendswood Drive. The program will begin with the Allstate Diving Team dropping into the park as the national anthem plays.
