HS girls basketball: La Marque defeats Texas City
La Marque routed Texas City 61-39 in girls high school basketball action on Friday, in a District 24-4A match-up.
The win ups La Marque to 17-8 overall and 10-3 in district play.
Jessieka Palmer netted a game-high 17 points in the victory.
La Marque will next host Galveston Ball on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The loss drops Texas City to 2-17 overall and 1-12 in district play.
Marlanan Flores put up 13 points in the loss.
Texas City will next visit Clear Falls on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
