Pearland contractor sued over Friendswood septic tank
A woman is suing a Pearland contractor after, she says, he ruined her septic tank while repairing the roof on her Friendswood property.
Sandra Meder filed a lawsuit on June 1 in Harris County District Court against Braun’s Roofing and Pearland resident Ronny Hoyt, citing violations of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, negligent misrepresentation, fraudulent misrepresentation, negligence and breach of contract.
Meder says that she hired the defendants to repair the roof and fence at her property, located on Apple Blossom Lane in Friendswood. According to the brief, the defendants breached this agreement when they drove trucks onto her lawn, damaging her septic system.
Meder is seeking economic, consequential and statutory damages, as well as attorney’s fees and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Galveston attorney Donivan Flowers.
