HS girls basketball: Pearland falls to Alvin

Pearland was defeated by Alvin in District 24-5A hoops action on Friday.

The Lady Oilers lost the game 41-34, dropping to 17-9 overall and 4-5 in district play.

Johnasha Manning, a junior forward, scored 10 points in the defeat.

Pearland will visit Clear Springs on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Friday’s victory lifted Alvin to 7-15 on the year and 2-7 in district games.
