HS girls basketball: Manvel defeats Santa Fe

Manvel defeated Santa Fe 53-30 in District 24-4A high school girls basketball action on Tuesday.

The game wasn’t as big a blowout as the score implies. Things were within distance for Santa Fe until the fourth quarter when Manvel outscored its opponent 17-7.

With the win, Manvel is now 10-3 on the season and is 4-0 in district play.

Sophomore Jade Castille scored 17 points in the victory.

Manvel will next host Friendswood on Friday at 7 p.m.

With the loss, Fort Bend Bush falls to 6-9 on the season and 0-6 in district play.

Junior guard Kalynn Allen scored nine points in her first game of the season.

Santa Fe will next host Conroe on Friday at 7 p.m.
